Small creatures from our trips in Navarra and Catalonia, Spain

Dragonflies, dragonflies and more dragonflies. There were millions of them everywhere. Some small, some huge, some plain and some brilliant. This was of course a feast for birds and spider alike. We also saw a blue bumblebee, a carpenter bee which was quite interesting because of the coloring and size. It seemed as the little hoover fly in the picture was admiring that blue fellow as well, flying around it for quite some time.

Black woodpecker

This weeks shots from the memory card. We were lucky enough to spot a black woodpecker, even it might be somewhat common around here. Black woodpecker as the largest woodpecker in Europe is in my opinion an exiting bird to spot in the nature.

A couple of macro shots with my Sigma 105mm f.2.8 OS of a ladybug and a bumblebee. Picture of a four spotted chaser dragonfly is along with the rest of the pictures captured with Tamron 150-600.
